Mine has a similar problem - onboard graphics has no HDMI output, have to use DVI. I have a similar system and hence problem as davegcoleman mentions here 91968 Should I put off the Windows Update until Intel figures this out? Or should I go ahead and update. Also, the megabites on the Intel site is over 10 more than the Windows Update one. Since someone on this site said they also had a problem with this new version as well, and it doesn't say in Windows Update which version it is, I don't know if I should go ahead and update it as it could possibly become a permanent problem like everyone else here instead of just now and then as it does now. I decided to check the Intel website to see if there was indeed a new version and there is. It is now July and Windows Update is offerring me another update that says it was released in April. 2082 which I got from Windows Update in April. Intel(R) G45/G43 express chipset version. I have a desktop Gateway SX2800 - Windows 7 64-bit. I shut down and restarted and no problem occured. Then two weeks ago it did the exact same thing. I pressed the power button and it shut down normally. Then the "Dial-Up Connection" box showed up. A month ago I started and got to the welcome screen then a black screen. I have a similar problem as the original poster but different. Hopefully this might help the development of a fix. After leaving the system idle for a few minutes, it crashed and rebooted. Gfxui.exe crashed as did windows explorer and a slew of other programs. NET off in "Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off." After installing the video driver, I restarted the system as instructed and successfully passed the welcome screen. NET issue, so I reinstalled Windows 7, and prior to installing the latest video driver, I turned. Startup recovery attempts to repair the system (if you choose not to restore), but it does not succeed. Shortly there after, the keyboard and mouse become unresponsive and then the machine reboots. Intel Download Center only lists 2102 and newer. It's unsettling having just built a new computer to find it's uselessly crippled by some odd driver issue.
